This route takes you along the headwaters of the Matamargó River, below Fornells and along the flat country at Santgrà towards Pinós. Rivers, the open country of these regions, a lively stream, it is just delightful. Although fire has mercilessly destroyed part of the forests and hollows, there is new growth in this area.
There is great contrast in the scenery, ranging from wide stretches of cultivated land to the plains at Planés and Bergús, the view of the Coma valley from Sant Quintí and the foothills of the Pyrenees in the background. To appreciate and recognise the true enchantment of this land, it is worth paying a visit and experiencing the beauty of this scenery during each of the four seasons.
From Pinós, the magnificent view heralds the greatness of this land, as you follow the crest lines back towards the northeast. Colours, smells, silence, peace, a journey full of surprises.
You will come across old country farmhouses and places where history and man who has worked the land, have left their mark. These are the highlights of this uneven yet gentle terrain, which is beautiful, irresistible and a place to be rediscovered. Sublime!
