On the east side of town, at the end of a street of the same name, this gate was used by travellers who came and went from the towns of Solsona, Sant Llorenç de Morunys, la Seu, Serrateix, Berga and Puigcerdà. It is an arched gate, with corbels and machicolations. It is flanked by two open pentagonal towers that were built with regular square ashlars cemented together with lime mortar. The first documented reference that we have of this gate dates back to 1421. Its advocacy is remembered through the image of the Virgin who was venerated on the wall of one of the neighbouring houses, the Graell Residence.
