Commemorative Sculpture of 1714
This sculpture can be found at the top of the Plaça de la Fira (Fair Square). This monument is a fountain that commemorates the surrender of Cardona Castle and its town to Felip V’s troops in September 1714. It was financed by an association called the Colónia Cardonina in Barcelona. It is made of cement and was sculpted by Josep Campeny.
